Family members are an important part of our community, and we strive to provide valuable programs, services and communication to you as we partner to support student success and engagement. Charlotte knows that when our family members have the information they need to support students and opportunities for positive engagement with the 49er community, your students is better off.

Transition & Success Initiatives is home to Charlotte’s many family programs. Led by a team of professional staff, this office produces communications, events and more for members of Niner Nation’s family community.

Niner Nation Family Association

Niner Nation Family Association (NNFA) keeps you connected and engaged to the University. This association is for parents and family members of UNC Charlotte undergraduate students. NNFA offers resources, events, and opportunities to enrich your experience within the 49er community. Being a member of NNFA allows you and your family to have access to our publications as soon as they are distributed, early-bird registration to Family Weekend and Spring Family Reunion, and so much more.

49er Family Hub

The 49er Family Hub is designed to enhance your Niner Nation family experience by providing you with customized newsletters and access to information, news, and resources curated for Charlotte families.

Family Weekend

Family Weekend is Charlotte’s largest family tradition for current students and families. Taking place each fall, the weekend is a celebration of the Niner Nation Family and Charlotte 49ers, including opportunities to connect with other family members and cheer on the 49ers at a football game.

Family Council

Charlotte’s Family Council is a leadership group focused on family giving and engagement on campus.
