Next Steps To Enroll

If you have been offered admission to the Passport Program, please follow these next steps to enroll.

  • Confirm your spot in the Passport Program by notifying UNC Charlotte by May 1.
  • Complete the online application for admission for Central Piedmont Community College at cpcc.edu/getstarted/curriculum.
  • Send in your final high school transcript to both UNC Charlotte and Central Piedmont:
    • Charlotte: Undergraduate Admissions; Gage Undergraduate Admissions Center, 8910 Johnson Alumni Way, Charlotte, NC 28262
    • CPCC: Student Records; PO Box 35009; Charlotte, NC 28235-5009.
  • Attend Passport Advising at Central Piedmont to register for your fall courses with the help of the Central Piedmont Passport Program Coordinator.
  • Attend the Passport Kick-Off event before classes begin in the fall

Charlotte Requirements

Advisors at both Central Piedmont and Charlotte will work with the Passport students to choose coursework at Central Piedmont that will allow them to make progress toward their specific major. The below are required for Passport students in order to transition from CPCC to UNC Charlotte in the spring.

  • 12 transferable credit from Central Piedmont and the successful completion of UCOL 1000 at UNC Charlotte
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA in all attempted coursework

Coursework

We are committed to providing our students with the tools and services to help them succeed throughout their educational careers.

  • In the first semester, students will complete a minimum of 12 transferable credit hours at Central Piedmont Community College and UCOL 1000 at Charlotte.
  • Advisors at both Central Piedmont and Charlotte will work with the Passport students to choose coursework at Central Piedmont that will allow them to make progress toward their specific major at Charlotte.
  • Students who successfully complete the required 15 credits with a minimum 2.0 GPA in their first semester, will begin their studies at UNC Charlotte in the spring semester.
