Favorite Spot on Campus: The Botanical Gardens! As a student, I lived in Martin Hall and really enjoyed being able to walk through the gardens to and from class each day. It was really refreshing and is such a nice place to relax and explore.
What makes Charlotte great to you?
The sense of community and all of the opportunities that are offered for students and alumni. There are so many resources on campus to help you be successful in whatever you decide to do.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
“Dancing Queen” by ABBA
If you were an expert in something besides admissions and higher education, what would it be?
I would consider myself a book connoisseur. I love reading and would eventually like to have my own home library.
What’s your favorite thing about the city of Charlotte?
There’s always something to do from trying new restaurants to visiting the Mint Museum and attending concerts or sporting events. I never get bored because there is always something new and exciting happening. I really love supporting small businesses as well, and I feel like the city really embraces and highlights entrepreneurs.
What’s your one piece of advice for students?
Utilize the University Career Center! It’s available to students and alumni and helps with anything from resume building to planning a career change later in life. They offer so many networking opportunities and can help you be prepared for whatever path you want to take. They host so many events throughout the year that can help land that job or internship of your dreams!
