How to Apply

Application Requirements

Incoming First-Year Students

  • Incoming first-year students can apply to the Honors College by indicating an interest in honors on their admission application. A link to the Honors College application will be sent to students who indicate interest via email.
    • All applicants will be considered for the University Honors Program in the Honors College, which is open to students with any major.
    • Additionally, eligible students will be selected from the Honors College applicant pool for the Arts + Architecture Honors Program (only students with a major in the College of Arts + Architecture), or the Business Honors Program (only students with a major in the College of Business). Incoming transfer students with fewer than 60 credit hours

  • Incoming transfer students with fewer than 60 credit hours can apply to the Honors College by indicating an interest in honors on their admission application. A link to the Honors College application will be sent to students who indicate interest via email.
    • All applicants will be considered for the University Honors Program in the Honors College, which is open to students with any major.
    • Additionally, eligible students will be selected from the Honors College applicant pool for the Arts + Architecture Honors Program (only students with a major in the College of Arts + Architecture), or the Business Honors Program (only students with a major in the College of Business). Incoming transfer students with 60 or more credit hours

  • Incoming transfer students with 60 or more credit hours or have four or fewer semesters remaining at UNC Charlotte are eligible to apply for one of the 29 departmental or college honors programs. Each program has different requirements and application processes. Select an honors program on this page to view more information on eligibility and applying for that program.

Levine Scholars Program

  • 4-Year Scholarship packages include:
    • $105,000 four-year in-state tuition
    • $155,000 four-year out-of-state tuition

  • Available for students earning a B.S. in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Business Analytics and one of the following degrees:
    • Master of Science in Mathematical Finance
    • Professional Science Master of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics
    • Master of Science in Economics
  • Scholarship packages include:
    • In-state tuition renewable for four years
    • Opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in five years

  • Must be Pell-eligible with $3,000 or less expected family contribution (EFC)
  • Average $3,000 per semester, based on unmet financial need
  • $3,000 stipend for study abroad or an internship
  • Open to any major
