As Charlotte continues to grow as a a community and University, the student body has created their own traditions and developed an united identity as Niner Nation.

We invite our students to explore our current traditions and welcome ideas for new ones. Our hope is as we continue to expand, more traditions emerge on campus, leaving a greater legacy for Niner Nation.

Clubs & Organizations

With over 400 student organizations, there’s something for everyone at Charlotte!

Joining a student club or organization will provide you with opportunities to make new friends, develop skills and abilities, be a part of a team, share your time and talents, and especially experience a lot of fun.

Athletics

The Charlotte 49ers compete in 19 varsity sports on the NCAA Division I level and are members of American Athletic Conference. There’s always a 49er team in action throughout the year.

During the last year, Charlotte 49ers made history for our athletics programs.
